Today was Davis' field trip. I was, of course, a volunteer for the bus. Who knew they could really be that LOUD!!! We woke today to the rainiest day in Wisconsin thus far. It actually is pouring down rain! The teachers had said rain or shine and please no umbrella's. Are you crazy??? So, we put on our best coats and sweatshirts and out we headed. We first went to a waterfall park....but the waterfall was dry. We had to walk down into a ravine (this I didnt know or may not have volunteered) and into the mouth of where the waterfall usually spits out and down. Quite interesting. Then....hike back up. Back on the bus. Next stop was Bay Park. Here we walked down another ravine...again very steep and slippery with all the wet leaves. We eventually hiked all the way down to the Bay of Green Bay. Then back on the bus to eat lunch. We had to eat lunch on the bus so our food wouldn't get soaked outside...besides there wasn't a dry place to sit and eat. Last stop was the rock quarry. I had never been into one before. It was 50 feet below the surface of the ground, and the bus drove us into it. Slightly scary!! Once there, the kids searched for certain types of rocks and they were able to bring 3 rocks with them. The focus of the trip was geology
