Bbbbrrrrrrrrr

It's another cold weekend. We took off yesterday to go to Wausau Wisconsin. We were told they have a ski area style resort town there. It was about a 2 hour or so drive. Checked the dogs into the Poochies and Mutts Doggie Daycare and off we went. We found a really neat place to stay in the downtown area. It was called Jefferson Street Inn. http://www.jeffersonstreetinn.com/ We had a view of the downtown area from our room. They had a pool and hot tub and the boys enjoyed splashing around in it when we first got there. Then we got up and on our way by 9:30 to head to the slopes. The kids were so excited about it. The car themometer read 4 degrees! When we got there we put all our gear on and headed to the rental area. In the 5 minutes that took, our hands, feet, and faces, were aching from the severe cold. We knew the kids (and mommie) we just not going to make it in this kind of temperatures. We told the kids we would have to do it another day. They were pretty disappointed, but Andrew took them sledding when we got back home. They enjoyed that quite a bit too! And at least we found a new and cool place to go when it warms up a skoshe!

When we picked the dogs up they said they had been trying to call us because Dylan passed some stones through his urine. There are 4 or 5 pea sized crystal like looking pieces. Benson called them jewels. I don't know what the hell that is...kidney stones...gall stones...???? Do I call the doctor and spend the money on a vet bill? He looks fine and they said he seemed fine before and after it happened??? Weirdness.

Sorry no pics of the ski town, duh...forgot my camera. Oh well. Off to to some chores to get ready for the week. Thank goodness it is supposed to start warming up this week.

I,m sure even Andrew would not have enjoyed sking in weather, that cold. Was there alot of people there? Just watched the movie notebook. I read the book, so knew what would happen.

Ooh...that is cold! I'm glad you found an alternative form of entertainment. My hands hurt just reading about it.

I hope the thing with your dog isn't serious. Maybe he was dehydrated?
