George Washington

All the 4th graders were supposed to dress up in characters, Davis picked George Washington. They were supposed to act like wax museum sculptures, and when you pushed their "button", they came to life delivering a little speech. Some parents went all out, like Kade's mom. She told me that they rented his costume. I can't imagine what that cost! I spent my time at Goodwill, found a catholic uniform sweater and top, Joanne Fabrics had the white cloth around his neck, and I bought quilt batting for the hair....what a pain in the ass that was! Poor kids was sweating his guts out. He looked pretty good.
